THE SOUND OF MUSIC Making music is my strongest passion. Whether it is playing the guitar, the piano or singing; this is where my creativity is unhindered and I have true freedom of expression.

The love for music began around age six when my mom signed me up for piano lessons with a teacher in our neighborhood. I enjoyed playing, but hated practicing. It wasn’t until I began to learn how to write my on songs that the desire for music took off.

At the start of junior high, I transitioned to guitar from piano and started a band with some friends from church. We wrote a ton of songs, played a few shows (thank you Club 704B), and even recorded a homemade demo tape. We played together all through out high school.

During college, Exit disbanded; but I continued to write music on my own. The other guitarist (Corky) from Exit and I played a few acoustic gigs, but I never did much else past playing at home.

In 2002, I had the opportunity to play in my church’s praise band and begin writing again. It was great and I even put together a band for a one-time concer to debut some new songs as well as perform some old Exit tunes.

Today, I continue to write and play in church, as time permits. Music will always be a part of me and will always influence my life and work in many ways.

"Music is all a simple math. First you play it by the rules. Then you play it by the heart."
